The Rhino EQ-300® employs mechanical, absorptive filtration and electro-chemical reaction of Oxidation-Reduction (redox) for water enhancement. This is achieved by utilizing three types of filtering media; KDF-55 and crushed mineral filter stone, coconut shell carbon and bituminous carbon media.

KDF 55 works behind the scenes to rid your water of 99% chlorine, water-soluble lead, copper, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. The redox reaction also inhibits the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi. As an added benefit, KDF 55 reduces lime scale, mold, and fungi in your tub or shower. Coconut shell carbon is used for maximum removal of synthetic chemicals such as VOCs, THMs, MTBE and SOCs while bituminous carbon media as a final polishing stage to enhance purity, clarity and taste.
